The focus is on HOW to conduct a pediatric evaluation which includes the choice use of the Peabody Developmental Motor Scales (PDMS-2) fine motor portion AND the Alberta Infant Motor Scales (AIMS).  Experience hands-on extensive training in how to administer, score and analyze young children in Early Intervention, CPSE and CSE. The AIMS can be used for children 2 weeks to 18 months as well as for significantly involved older children.  This workshop is not just for OTs!   This workshop also covers a review of the central nervous system and its connection with sensory processing deficits, reflex integration and overall motor skills.  We will cover the parent interview process: the "what" and "why" questions to ask and how it impacts your analysis of the child!  How to conduct on evaluation when the child just can't focus or sit still? Also this workshop covers how to write an OT evaluation report!
